Shiny Things

Dear Jeddo and Nana -- 

My eyesight is getting a lot better so I'm able to see all these weird shapes and colors. I love mama's glasses and like to stare at them and grab them. 

Also, I like to try to steal her necklaces, but I've realized that no matter how hard I pull, it won't come off. 

One day, they'll be mine.

Nana Visits

Dear Jeddo and Nana --

Thanks for loaning Nana to us for a visit. Mama and baba needed it.

I thought Nana lived in the computer with Jeddo, but then she magically appeared.

One Month Old

Dear Jeddo and Nana --

Today I am one month old!

Here are my milestones:

• I eat more than the average one month old. Let's just say, I'm ALWAYS hungry. 
• Every so often I like to surprise mama and baba with a poop explosion. 
• I still smile in my sleep, and now I sometimes smile when I'm awake. 
• I like to pretend I'm asleep when you're holding me. Then, when you put me in my crib, I reveal that I've been awake all along. What can I say -- I like to cuddle. 
• Right when you sit down to enjoy a nice quiet meal, that's most likely the time I'll wake up crying because I want to eat with you guys. 

Baba says these are all worth noting on my Harvard application...

Nana's Coming!

Mama told me that Nana is going to come next week. I'm so excited! Also, guess what? I'll be turning one month old when Nana comes.

I have to convince her to bring Jeddo next time...

Stinky Dalia

Dear Jeddo and Nana --

I have a confession to make...

Not everything about me is cute and cuddly. My cheeks may be puffy, my toes may be edible, but man oh man can I poop through the thickest brand of diapers.

Sometimes, when mama has found herself finally able to relax on the couch with me in her lap, that's when I show her my not so cute side. It's warm. It's wet. And it is not confined to my pants. It soaks through all three layers of clothes that mama has put on me. Today, it happened to even soak through and get mama's pants dirty.

Mama says I'm a "cacod."

I just say I'm talented.

Hair Wear

Dear Jeddo and Nana --

Before I was born, mama stocked up on some very blingy hair wear. I can't wait until the weather gets better outside so I can actually wear cute outfits and sport my hair wear.

I'm sad that the weather is not better and I can't go outside as much as I want. In the meantime, mama's friend Auntie Serena sent me a very warm knit hat. I went to the grocery store yesterday and everybody loved this winter-friendly hair wear.

No Sleep

Dear Jiddo and Nana --

I love hanging out with mama all day everyday. Playtime is the best time and I never want it to end.

But last night mama said, "Time to sleep..." 

Sleep? SLEEP? SLEEP? I DON'T WANT TO SLEEP!!!!!

Last night I fussed. I cried. I ate. I burped. But I definitely did NOT sleep.

I'm Official

Dear Jiddo and Nana --

Last night I got my first ever official government letter addressed to me. It was my social security card. I guess this means that I'm officially recognized by the USA!

Sunday Funday

Dear Jiddo and Nana -

Sunday was Funday with baba. He had the day off, so he spent the day with me while mama went out with Aunt Darcy for the day. But first, he took me and mama out for my first brunch date.

I love riding in the car, but I think mama and baba forgot to burp me before the car ride. I threw up my whole brunch. When they arrived at the restaurant, they saw the big surprise I left them all over my new outfit and car seat. 

But who could get mad at a cute face like this? After a quick cleanup, we got on with our date!

P.S. - Baba also tried to explain the Super Bowl to me, but I ended up sleeping through the whole game. Oh well. Maybe next year.
